Through sneakers featuring this traditional Nishijin weaving, we aim to share Japan’s beautiful cultural heritage with the next generation worldwide and help preserve it for the future.
Obi belts are an essential element of kimono culture, which embodies Japan’s aesthetic sensibilities. Among them, Nishijin weaving has a history of over 1,200 years and is produced in Kyoto’s Nishijin district. (After the Ōnin War, artisans who had scattered returned to Kyoto and resumed weaving on the land where the Western army had once camped.) Nishijin weaving is a traditional pre-dyed patterned textile recognized as a national craft.
By incorporating this exquisite technique and beauty into modern, everyday items, we set out to create sneakers that carry Japan’s cultural heritage forward to the next generation.

Considering that conventional leather sneakers typically weigh between 450–500g, you’ll find these exceptionally light for a fashion-forward sneaker.
Thanks to years of development by International Shoes, the leather has evolved to resist creasing while maintaining its soft feel.
Combined with a uniquely designed sole, durability and cushioning have also been enhanced.
Nishijin sneakers are crafted using a special polyester-based technology, making them dust-resistant and compatible with waterproof sprays, so you can wear them with ease when going out.
