Leather sandals with Vibram soles

Vibram is a footwear sole manufacturer headquartered in Albizzate, Varese, Italy, and the brand name itself is also Vibram. Founded in 1937, Vibram has a flagship store in Milan.

The Vibram sole was invented in 1935 by Italian mountaineers Ettore Castiglioni and Vitale Bramani, at the request of fellow Italian climber Justo Gervasutti.

Originally developed as a sole for mountaineering boots, its slip-resistant properties quickly gained popularity. Today, Vibram provides high-performance rubber soles across a wide range of applications, including sports, outdoor, athleisure, safety, dress, and casual footwear.

The founder, Vitale Bramani, named the company “Vibram” using the initials of his name. The logo features a triangle representing the Matterhorn peak, with the word “Vibram” displayed prominently.

The Vibram sole is a high-performance outsole manufactured by the Italian sole specialist, Vibram.

It is used by over 1,000 footwear brands worldwide, including for mountaineering boots, work boots, and sneakers.

Known for its excellent grip, Vibram soles are slip-resistant on wet surfaces and snowy paths, making them ideal for hiking and outdoor activities.
They are made from durable materials that resist wear and tear, ensuring long-lasting performance.
